Here at Stepping Stones, we promote gross motor development on our Playground and in our Gym!

Gross Motor Development involves the larger, stronger muscle groups of the body.

Gross Motor Skills include walking, running, jumping, climbing, balance, strength, etc.

In early childhood, it is the development of these muscles that enable an infant to hold his/her head up, sit, crawl and eventually walk, run and skip as toddlers. As toddlers grow, they continue to develop these muscles and are able to throw, kick, peddle and balance!

We also offers children a calm, cozy and quiet area to sit and enjoy a variety of literature for all ages in our Library, located in the Preschool building. Literature and storytelling is a great way to activate prior knowledge, stimulate curiosity and ultimately help children begin to think critically!
